Cuttings on both sides of the aluminium magazine base pad makes it easier to pull out the magazine when jamming. The checkered version of the magazine base pad also has the checkering on the underside, which makes it easier to change the magazine and insert it into the pistol, as it prevents it from slipping with wet or damp hands.
The aluminium base pads are IPSC Production conform.
